Well what more is there to say than Happy St Patrick’s, that patron saint whose day we all celebrate regardless of whether we’re from Ireland (or Nigeria or Puerto Rico or anywhere or if we’re anyone else for whom Saint Patrick is the patron saint).
So I hope, if you are celebrating, that you have a good’un and a pint of Guinness if you’re that way inclined or something equivalent for those teetotalers (like myself) amongst us. (Dandelion & Burdock works well on days like today because of the colour or alternatively a cold cup of Bovril if you’re wanting to replicate the whole “I feel like I’m going to be sick” sensation).
I imagine today will be especially jolly owing to the fact that Ireland were deserved winners of this year’s 6 Nations. And a big pat on the back to Brian O’Driscoll for a fantastic international career and a perfect end to it. Buy that man a drink (and not one made of Bovril, I’m not sure he’d appreciate it).
But before I conclude today’s remarks a mention must be made of the humble Leprechaun, always admired by Ninja for their ability to disappear and reappear at will. I often wonder whether Leprechauns are little more than what you get if you tried to make an Irish Ninja?
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day.
